After earning a BA in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources I began a career in retail. As a District Manager I was responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and motivating employees in multiple locations. In the retail industry I developed my customer service and sales skills as well. I also worked part time for six years as a Ministry Coordinator for youth and families. This job helped me develop excellent interpersonal skills, conflict management skills and infinite patience. Which are all very transferrable skills for the staffing industry.
When Mike and I decided to pursue this opportunity with PrideStaff I realized what a great fit my education and experiences are to the staffing industry.
Having been responsible for recruiting, training and retaining personnel in my prior occupation, I opened a small business consulting firm where I helped entrepreneurs build best practices around the same process that have proven success. In these efforts, I gained an appreciation for the cost and time associated with making the right hiring decision. By opening the PrideStaff office in Hurst, I wished to apply these learned lessons and help the members of this business community in their effort to attract and retain the "right" people for their needs.
The big picture: Our long term big picture for our PrideStaff franchise would be to enjoy the success of hard work and to be able to give back to our community. We feel that we have the knowledge and compassion to offer direction and guidance to our candidates and clients. With the support of PrideStaff corporate we have the most up to date resources available on current trends. We want to be able to contribute to the overall success of everyone we meet.
The scoop on staffing: This is a unique business; every day is just a little bit different. Staffing industry or not, we enjoy seeing a business produce better results through the efforts of placing the right personnel resources into their system. The best thing to see or hear is how a new member of a team improved the existing system.
Secrets to success:
Be kinder than necessary. Everyone is fighting some kind of battle.
I feel I have a unique gift of making people feel comfortable and valued. I work hard in each conversation to be authentic, available and affirming.
Knowing when to rely on others. Any success I have is a result of the success by those I surround myself with.
Being a mother is one of the great joys of my life. Not always completely stress free but there is no other place I want to be after a not so awesome day or an awesome day than with my boys and Mike. (And of course, a really good margarita always helps take the edge off!)

Directions: We are located on the second floor. Take a right as you exit the elevator and you will see the entrance to our office. To find the building: If you are traveling east on Airport Freeway, exit Precinct Line Road then take the U turn under the freeway. You will see the Liberty Bank/University of Phoenix Building on the right. If you are traveling west on Airport Freeway, exit Precinct Line Road and stay on the service road. You will see the Liberty Bank Building on the right. All parking is FREE. Additional Parking is located behind the building. If you enter through the front of the building, the elevators are located towards the rear entrance.
