Job Description

HR Generalist 

Our client has been producing custom manufactured, superior quality elastomeric (rubber, thermoplastic, etc.) products for over 35 years. Their products can be found on buildings in architectural seals, on semi-trucks in window seals, on cable jacketing in hospitals, and products in a variety of other industries.
 
Essential Functions:

1. Recruit for open positions
2. Manage hiring processes for new employees, provide documentation & support during interviews & selection.
3. Conduct Exit processes for new employees
4. Liaison with staffing agencies to schedule temporary employees
5. Perform new hire orientations for long-term temporary employees & new hires
6. Evaluate & administer benefits for new hires & open enrollment
7. Develop & maintain training records
8. Monitor & respond to employment & labor laws & associated requirements
9. Maintain employee handbook, employment records, newsletter, & notices
10. Conduct &a maintain personnel assessments
11. Process leave of absence requests
12. Assist with employee relations matters &a advise management
13. Maintain membership on safety committee
14. Investigate accidents, incidents, & injuries
15. Manage workers’ compensation claims with SAIF
16. Monitor OSHA requirements & maintain OSHA record keeping requirements
17. Maintain ergonomics program
18. Complete paperwork, as assigned
19. Follow quality policies, procedures, & safety rules
20. Complete other tasks as required
 
 
Education and Training:
  • Minimum of 6 months HR experience required, prefer 1 to 3 years of experience in a variety of HR tasks.
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment (preferred)
  • SHRM certification (preferred)
  • English proficiency required(read, speak, and write), Spanish is a plus
  • Basic math skills
  • Experience & training in areas of safety and compliance (preferred)
  • Experience with fundamental office applications & equipment (e.g. PC’s, Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Experience in implementing new processes & organizational systems – both manual & computer-based.
 
Hours:
  • 40 hours
  • 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00/hour 

A pre-employment drug screen is required.
