Maintenance Technician– New Castle Delaware
Our client in New Castle Delaware is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician.
Qualified candidates with their own tools are a plus!
Duties and responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
Assist the Property Manager in the organization, administration and execution of service requests and other work assignments that are required to maintain and improve the property.
Conduct all work in a courteous and professional manner, provide outstanding customer service and assist with the tenant retention effort, strictly comply with all written company policies and procedures, and utilize skills and technical experience to completely work assignments safely, promptly, and correctly.
Perform repairs/replacements on electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and general maintenance items in vacant and occupied apartments and general areas of the property as skills, experience and required certifications allow.
Maintain and monitor inventory in the Shop and coordinate purchase of equipment and materials with the Property Manager.
Ensure compliance with all written company Policies and Procedures.
Comply with all safety procedures and programs and make safety a focused priority.
Keep accurate records on Service Requests and assist Property Managers with the administration of the maintenance effort.
Perform limited extermination work, as directed by Property Manager.
Make sure all areas of the property are secure when not in use.
Make sure the property is kept in neat and clean appearance.
Understanding and compliance with Fair Housing Laws.
Anything related to the above items that will assist in maintaining and improving the property as assigned by the Property Manager or other supervisors.
Acceptable criminal record and drug screening.
Valid driver's license and use of a vehicle
Mechanically inclined with previous technical maintenance job experience.
Ability to perform the essential physical qualifications.
Own industry standard hand tools and power equipment preferred
CFC certification or willingness to attend training and certification course.
EPA Lead Paint certification or willingness to attend training and certification course.
