PROJECT ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY

PrideStaff Minneapolis North is working with a local company that is family and veteran owned that works on large scale government contracts and is a "go-to" for specific projects. This is an excellent company that is growing, stable, and seeking a Project Engineer to finalize projects, coordinate team efforts to deliver projects according to plans, and define project objectives for desired results.

PROJECT ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans and implements, including defining the project outputs, activities, milestones, per customer requirements from beginning (Estimating) through product realization
  • Develop full-scale project plans to provide status & progress reports
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner
  • Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget
  • Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements & related specifications
  • Assign and oversee project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project 
  • Identifies project staffing requirements and coordinates staffing with supporting organization managers
  • Identify and resolve issues & conflicts within the project team
  • Interfaces with customers to resolve issues and ensure customer needs are met
  • Interfaces with vendors to develop specifications for purchased product
  • Ensures successful transition from development to production including purchasing activities
  • Conduct project postmortems to ensure the desired results have been achieved
  • Identify potential constraints & devise contingency plans to ensure project success

PROJECT ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry OR Bachelor’s degree with technical discipline from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Must have experience in Lean Manufacturing and or other continuous improvement methodologies
