Job Description


PrideStaff, a firm specializing in recruiting for Central Oregon businesses, is seeking a CPA or CPA candidate with a minimum of 2 years industry experience.  In this role, you will be responsible for business tax filings and strategic planning with small to medium sized businesses.  You will be expected to take an ownership position in the Company and reach $175K in annualized compensation within 5 years.  This position is responsible for driving performance, developing new business and and helping to manage client expectations.


Job Responsibilities

As a CPA, you will be held responsible for the timely and accurate completion of accounting activities and strategic advice. You will also provide information and support to corporate and internal/external audit personnel.

Responsibilities for the CPA include:

  • Filing business tax returns
  • Providing strategic accounting consulting services to clients
  • Financial reporting
  • Business development
  • Overseeing month-end and year-end close processes
  • Balancing sheet account management
  • Developing and maintaining operational reports
  • Other duties assigned

Job Requirements

As a CPA, you must have proven supervisor/leadership skills. This requires excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. You must also have strong analytical skills and extensive accounting knowledge.

Additional requirements of the CPA include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • CPA license or CPA candidate
  • Compilation reviews
  • Public Accounting experience
  • Business tax filing experience
  • Business development experience
  • Experience with CS Professional Suite or CS Ultra Tax
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley Compliance requirements
