Staff Accountant reporting to the Assistant Controller for company located in the Santa Ana, CA area.  Seeking strong experience to assist this fast-paced accounting department.

This is a Temporary to Hire opportunity, Full-time, Monday-Friday. Casual Dress Code. Company conducts full background check prior to start. Pay range $22-25/hr depending experience.

Perform daily reconciliation of cash as required by the UCC

Prepare monthly general ledger and bank account reconciliations

Prepare and input standard monthly journal entries, as well as assist with the month end and closing process

Audit and maintain fixed assets, as well as calculate monthly depreciation

Perform analysis and reconciliation of international accounts

Perform monthly analysis of departmental revenues and expenses

Reconcile deferred revenue

Assist with process improvements within the department

Understanding of GAAP accounting concepts and revenue recognition, including goodwill, intangible assets, and eliminating entries

Additional tasks, including A/R and A/P, to be included


Min 2-5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience in all areas of general accounting

Bachelor's degree in accounting/business required.

Public company experience desirable

Solid understanding of GAAP and the general ledger

Intermediate/Advanced experience with MS Excel; knowledge of MS Outlook

Exposure to international operations, foreign currency translation and consolidations a plus

Excellent problem solving techniques

Detail-oriented with the ability to multi=task

Organized, solution-oriented, flexible and able to prioritize

Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Proven leadership skills with personal drive to meet and exceed expectations

Ability to interact well with all departments

Ability to meet strict deadlines
