Project Manager

Our client is a locally owned and operated company that specializes in the installation and distribution of a wide variety of commercial construction products and services. They are well known for their high quality work built on timely service and value. The successful candidates will posses a number of skills with willingness to learn and grow.

Overview:

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall success of projects assigned.  They are the communication conduit between our client and the General Contractors or their client. The PM works collectively in the Project Management team and will have both Assistant Project Managers as well as Project Coordinators (Admin) working in support of each project.

Duties:

  • Review project contracts
  • Review project scope
  • Review project schedules
  • Put together and/or review submittals prior to sending
  • Review returned submittals
  • Preparing material orders
  • Coordinating delivery and/or installation of materials
  • Compile and maintain change order requests
  • Maintain schedule-of-values and monthly billings
  • Work with Assistant Project Managers on various tasks to ensure organization

  • Above average Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
  • Above average written and oral communication skills
  • Strong and proactive communication style
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of contract language
  • Ability to organize and maintain task schedules for project completion
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

  • Able to show initiative when working unassisted or given little direction
  • Ability to engage others in the project

Organizational Structure:

  • Reports to the General Manager
  • Supervision by an assigned Senior Project Manager
  • Training by various Project Managers

Education/Experience (Required):

  • College Degree in a relative field
  • Project Management experience, 1-3 years minimum
  • Experience/knowledge of Doors, Frames and components used in Bathrooms and Locker rooms
  • Construction field experience

Software Experience (Preferred):

  • Blue Beam software experience
  • Avaware or similar Project Management software experience
  • AutoCad or similar software experience
  • OnScreen Take-Off software experience
  • Carpentry or similar field experience

Pay Rate: $50-$60K Annually Depending on Skills and Experience

Schedule: M-F Days; some flexibility in exact hours
