Quality Lead

Our client, a well respected company in its field, is looking for a Quality Lead to join their organization. See below for information and requirements for this role:

STRATEGIC GOALS

  1. Minimize risk of external escapes
  2. Build internal department capability
  3. Improve internal Quality system
  4. Improve Supplier Quality.

JOB DELIVERABLES

  1. Direct work activities for the Quality Inspectors in the inspection of materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products to assure quality standards are met.
  2. Monitor engineer drawings and specifications to insure inspector’s ability to verify requirements and to check for conflicting or missing requirements.
  3. Assure product quality through maintenance of a quality system in accordance with the quality regulations and customer requirements.
  4. Foster the professional growth and development of inspectors through personal example and appropriate training.
  5. Promote team spirit among Production, Quality Assurance and Engineering through positive feedback relative to product quality and mutually generated corrective action at individual product levels.
  6. Provides QA product recommendations within the limits of specifications, manuals and company policy.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Ability to work on tasks that are complex, or developmental with minimum support.
  2. Demonstrated ability to plan and direct technical efforts to meet Quality Assurance targets.
  3. Applies processes and procedures to resolve complex tasks.
  4. Demonstrated experience as an inspector in a similar industry.
  5. Experience working with a variety of engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches.
  6. Strong attention to detail and skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment.
  7. Ability to provide strong leadership to lower level inspectors through training and work review.
  8. Solder Certification to IPC 610 or equivalent.
  9. Ability to pass visual acuity test.
  10. Demonstrated experience as an inspector in a similar industry.
  11. Experience working with a variety of engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches.
