Thomas and Tanya Clemons, Co-Owners/Strategic-Partners
Thomas: My sister, Tanya, and I were born, raised and educated here. After earning my B.S. and M.B.A. from McNeese State University, I held various roles with increasing responsibility in the petrochemical and healthcare industries – gaining experience in process operations, computer programming, business administration, healthcare policy development and more.
My diverse professional background, local roots and first-hand experience as a staffing customer gives me an insider's perspective on the workforce management and hiring challenges our clients face.
The Big Picture:
For years, Tanya and I discussed going into business together. When evaluating franchises, we sought an opportunity where we could leverage our skills and experience, while giving back to our growing community.
PrideStaff was the perfect fit. Their reputation in the industry, proven processes and core values allow us to create exceptional matches between employers and hard-working people. We're not "resume pushers"; we use our local connections and stringent screening methods to become a valuable partner in our clients' and candidates' success.
The Scoop on Staffing:
Developing effective staffing solutions requires great listening skills, high expectations and honesty. By truly understanding clients' and job seekers' needs, and holding both our candidates and ourselves to the highest standards, we create meaningful employment connections that deliver great results.
We firmly believe that you cannot put a price tag on goodwill. Our goal is to develop long-term relationships with talented people and leading employers. That's why we never cut corners, we're always straightforward, and we'll even direct an employer or job seeker to a competitor if that's what's in their best interest.
Secrets to Success:
I believe in myself, and I never underestimate anyone else. I always shoot from the hip, and I'm willing to admit what I don't know. These characteristics allow me to get along with people from all walks of life – and have been critical to my success.
I'm also thankful for the direction, support and education our parents provided. They instilled a strong work ethic in both Tanya and me, which has served us well throughout our careers.
I have two grandchildren, whom I affectionately refer to as my heart and soul. They are truly precious to me. I spend a lot of my free time with them, and I enjoy watching them learn about the world and "soak up" new experiences.
