Job Description
Looking to work Monday-Friday 2:30 pm – 11:30 pm and some Saturdays as a manufacturing supervisor? The primary responsibility requires technical expertise for training and leading the machine operators in plastics thermoforming, injection molding, and extrusion equipment setup, shutdown, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. This position also monitors key metrics such as quality, safety, productivity, and efficiency. The responsibilities include meeting daily, weekly, and monthly shift production goals regarding productivity, runtime, and efficiency; recommending to the management team new methods and best practices to improve efficiency; working closely with departments to follow up on needs and issues; conducting technician training and cross-training in equipment operations, work procedures and safety. Qualifications include 5+ years of experience in a production supervisor role; math; basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, email and data entry; the ability to work up to 6 days a week and variable schedules in peak and nonpeak season.
