Are you a mechanically inclined person with machinery maintenance experience? Our client seeks a maintenance machine tech to assist the current lead Monday through Friday 4:30 pm – 2 am. Duties include managing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program and safety program; relocating, setting up and servicing the equipment; cutting and welding metal to repair broken parts, fabricate new parts and assemble new equipment; demonstrating equipment functions and features to machine operators; and entering codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery. Requirements include experience with 460 high voltage, electrical work, 3 phase power, gears, chains and belts; a basic understanding of computer operation and Excel data entry; detail orientation; the ability to work in an uncontrolled environment, use control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes; inspect equipment, structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or defects; collaborate; accept supervision and assistance from other team members; read and interpret customer orders and plant production control documents; compute basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurements in the English and metric systems.
