Background
My experience includes 20+ years in financial, operational and strategic planning. Over the course of my career, I’ve developed a solid business acumen and insight into key business drivers for success. I worked part-time for Ernst & Young while attending Western Michigan University, and was hired full-time upon graduation. I obtained my CPA license, performing audits for clients in a wide range of industries. In this role, I gained valuable insights about business operations and the factors impacting organizational profitability. Later, as a finance leader for a large global enterprise, I performed a wide range of functions including Financial Planning & Analysis, Controllership, and Internal Auditing. During my time with the company, I also had two overseas assignments in Korea and England. Through these opportunities, I gained critical business experience, immersed myself in diverse cultures, and saw the world from a completely different point of view.
