PrideStaff’s National Offices Band Together to Provide Hurricane Harvey Relief
September 1, 2017
Hurricane Harvey has ravaged the Texas coast and left Houston, the nation’s fourth-largest city, with unprecedented rainfall and severe flooding. Among the millions of people impacted by this natural disaster are three PrideStaff offices located in the Houston area: Houston Northwest, Houston Southeast, and Houston Southwest.
The Houston Southeast PrideStaff office has endured flooding and is without electricity. Early counts show that up to 50 percent of the dedicated and hard-working field associates were impacted with flooding and damage. The Houston Northwest office is operational at this point but many field associates are unable to leave their homes. The Houston Southwest office is operational, but several internal staff members endured severe flooding and many field associates are unable to be reached.
In light of these terrible events, the PrideStaff Home Office has dedicated $20,000 to help support the Houston area offices that have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
“Our people play a pivotal role in making PrideStaff great,” said Tammi Heaton, COO at PrideStaff. “They work hard, day in and day out, to provide for their families and this disaster has left them unable to earn a much-needed paycheck. We are working hard to help them in this dire time of need.”
In addition to the financial support of the Home Office, PrideStaff’s entire network of over 74 offices are pitching in to help support those impacted. A GoFundMe campaign has been created, and all donations will go directly to PrideStaff Houston offices to provide some relief for unexpected displacement costs, property damage, and lost work opportunities resulting from Hurricane Harvey.

While many of PrideStaff’s field associates have been unable to be reached, others are actively involved in rescue and support efforts. “I had the opportunity to speak with Josh Hawkins, one of our amazing temporary field associates today,” said Craig Soudelier, Strategic-Partner in the Houston Northwest office. “Even though Josh has not been able to work, he has spent the last several days in his boat and jet ski helping rescue people trapped in their homes. Josh’s amazing efforts have saved a large number of families. Not only are his actions a testament to his strong character, but also a reflection of the values, care and compassion for people that we strive bring forth as a brand.”
“We understand that this will be a long and tough recovery effort,” said Heaton. “We are committed to helping our Houston offices recover as quickly as possible.”
